Mediatek to Launch More Affordable Dimensity 8300 Chipset
On November 21 at 3PM Beijing time, Mediatek will be launching the Dimensity 8300 chipset, a more affordable alternative to its flagship Dimensity 9300. The launch will be livestreamed on Weibo.
Reports from China suggest that the Dimensity 8300 may adopt a 1+3+4 architecture with ARMv9 cores, similar to the Dimensity 9300 but with slightly toned-down cores and clock speeds. Rumors claim that it will have a Cortex-X3 prime core clocked at 2.8GHz, 3x Cortex-A715 performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz, and 4x Cortex-A510 efficiency cores clocked at 1.6GHz.
The GPU is expected to be handled by the Mali G52 MC6 running at an 850MHz frequency. Additionally, the Dimensity 8300 will likely be fabbed on TSMC’s N4P4nm process.
The launch of the Dimensity 8300 chipset aims to provide a more affordable option for smartphone manufacturers looking to incorporate Mediatek’s technology into their devices.
This new chipset offers a cost-effective solution for companies and ultimately aims to benefit consumers by providing more affordable smartphone options without compromising on performance. The livestream of the launch event on Weibo will allow tech enthusiasts and industry professionals to learn more about the features and capabilities of the Dimensity 8300 firsthand.
With the increasing demand for technologically advanced yet affordable smartphones, the launch of the Dimensity 8300 chipset is likely to make a significant impact in the industry. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new development in smartphone technology.
