Mediatek to Launch More Affordable Dimensity 8300 Chipset
On November 21 at 3PM Beijing time, Mediatek will be launching the Dimensity 8300 chipset, a more affordable alternative to its flagship Dimensity 9300. The launch will be livestreamed on Weibo.
Reports from China suggest that the Dimensity 8300 may adopt a 1+3+4 architecture with ARMv9 cores, similar to the Dimensity 9300 but with slightly toned-down cores and clock speeds. Rumors claim that it will have a Cortex-X3 prime core clocked at 2.8GHz, 3x Cortex-A715 performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz, and 4x Cortex-A510 efficiency cores clocked at 1.6GHz.
