Xiaomi’s Redmi 13C to Launch in India with Upgraded Chipset
Xiaomi’s budget phone, the Redmi 13C, has already been launched in global markets but is yet to make its way to India. However, according to 91mobiles, the Indian version of the handset will have some differences compared to its global counterpart.
Sources familiar with the matter have revealed that the Indian version of the Redmi 13C will come with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, an upgrade from the Helio G85 found in the global version. The newer chip is based on a more recent manufacturing process and offers a higher clock speed.
Aside from the chipset upgrade, Xiaomi will not be making any other changes to the Indian version of the Redmi 13C. The phone will still feature a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, along with a 50MP + 2MP camera setup on the back and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The battery capacity will remain at 5,000 mAh and will support 18W charging.
While details about memory variants and color options for the Indian version have not been revealed, an announcement regarding these details is expected next month.
