Vivo X100 Series Debuts in China, Features MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 SoC
Vivo has launched its latest flagship smartphones in the Chinese market, introducing the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro. These new devices are the first to feature MediaTek’s premier-tier Dimensity 9300 SoC, promising powerful performance and efficiency.
The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro come with impressive displays, measuring 6.78 inches and featuring LTPO screens with 120Hz refresh rates and up to 3000 nits of peak brightness. Both models also boast a large 5000mAh and 5400mAh battery capacity, respectively, with fast charging and wireless charging capabilities.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Vivo X100 Pro boasts a large 1-inch 50MP sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a third 50MP ultra-wide camera, allowing for 100x digital zoom shots and 8K video recording. On the other hand, the standard Vivo X100 features a 50MP primary sensor, a 64MP periscopic lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
Storage and Pricing
Both devices come with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage, supporting Android 14-based OriginOS 4 out of the box. The Vivo X100 starts at CNY 3,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB variant, while the Vivo X100 Pro retails at CNY 4,999 for the similar storage variant.
Competition and Availability
The Vivo X100 series is set to compete with the Xiaomi 14 series in China, which features Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The new flagship phones are expected to be available for purchase in December, with open sales beginning later this month.
