OnePlus Unveils Highly Anticipated Ace 3 Device

Today, at a special event in China, tech giant OnePlus unveiled its latest device, the OnePlus Ace 3. This new smartphone is a direct successor to last year’s Ace 2, with some exciting upgrades and an impressive storage capacity of up to 1TB.

The Ace 3 features a stunning curved 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a high resolution of 1,240 x 2,772px and an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz. The display, made by BOE, boasts up to 1,600 nits brightness in Auto mode and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness, along with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

In terms of design, the Ace 3 continues OnePlus’s sleek and modern aesthetic with an aluminum frame and frosted glass back. The phone also includes a distinctive circular camera island and the signature three-stage alert slider.

The device’s camera system is also impressive, featuring a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. Powering the Ace 3 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with 12/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The phone runs on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 and is equipped with a 5,500mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging, providing a full charge in just 27 minutes.

The OnePlus Ace 3 comes in three attractive colors: black, blue, and rose gold. In China, pricing starts at CNY 2,599 ($365) for the 12/256GB storage model and goes up to CNY 3,499 ($493) for the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version. Pre-orders begin on January 15.

International markets can expect the OnePlus Ace 3 to debut as the OnePlus 12R later this month, with a global launch event planned for the OnePlus 12. Overall, the OnePlus Ace 3 delivers cutting-edge features and an impressive storage capacity, making it a highly anticipated addition to the OnePlus smartphone lineup.
