OnePlus to Unveil OnePlus 12 at 10th Anniversary Event
OnePlus, a well-known smartphone brand, is all set to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a special event next month in China. The event will not only be a celebration but also a big reveal of the long-awaited OnePlus 12.
The president of OnePlus China, Li Jie Louis, announced the event on Weibo, a popular social media platform in China. The event is scheduled for December 4 and is expected to be an exciting day for OnePlus fans.
There are also rumors that the OnePlus Ace 3 might share the spotlight at the event, as hinted by 91 Mobiles, a reliable source for smartphone news.
The OnePlus 12 is expected to feature the same main camera sensor as the recently unveiled OnePlus Open, using the innovative Sony LYT-T808 camera sensor known for its unique pixel architecture. This will allow the OnePlus 12 to capture more light and deliver superior image quality, especially in low-light conditions.
Leaked details suggest that the OnePlus 12 will have a QHD+ 6.82-inch display, which is an upgrade from its predecessor, the OnePlus 11. There are also rumors that the device might have the brightest display on a US-sold smartphone, reaching around 2,600 nits.
The budget-friendly OnePlus Ace 3, which is anticipated to launch alongside the OnePlus 12, is expected to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It will feature a 6.74-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate and will have a substantial 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. There is also speculation that the OnePlus Ace 3 might be rebranded as the OnePlus 12R for the global market.
Recent certification from India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) hints at the imminent production of the OnePlus Watch 2. Previous rumors suggested an early 2024 launch, possibly along with the OnePlus 12, so there is a possibility of seeing it on December 4 as well.
Once the OnePlus 12 debuts in China, it is expected to hit the global market in January 2024, following historical release patterns of previous OnePlus models. For example, the OnePlus 11 launched in China in January 2023 and reached the global market in February of the same year. Similarly, the OnePlus 10 Pro debuted in January 2022 and globally released in March of the same year.
