Honor Begins Closed Beta Testing for MagicOS 8.0
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Honor, has initiated closed beta testing for its Magic4 and Magic5 series for the upcoming MagicOS 8.0. The new software will be based on Android 14.
The registration for the closed beta testing has begun in China and will be open until December 14. Honor has allocated 3,000 slots for the Magic4 series and 3,000 slots for the Magic5 series.
Interestingly, the company has not announced any new features for MagicOS 8.0, creating a sense of mystery for the participants. Despite this, many are eager to sign up for the beta testing. It is hoped that an open beta will follow soon, along with a stable update to Android 14 for the Magic4 and Magic5 series.
Samsung is already well on its way to reaching a dozen or more devices with the stable One UI 6 update based on Android 14. In comparison, other manufacturers are just starting their closed beta tests. This shows Honor’s commitment to providing the latest software updates for its users.
As of now, the closed beta testing is only available in China, but it is expected that the open beta will be available globally. Honor users are encouraged to stay tuned for further updates on the MagicOS 8.0 and the stable update to Android 14 for the Magic series.
