Rumor Mill: Action Button Coming to Entire iPhone 16 Lineup

Apple is rumored to add a new feature to its upcoming iPhone 16 series. According to a report from MacRumors, the company may include an Action button on all four iPhone 16 models. This button, which will replace the traditional mute switch, was previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models.

The rumored Action button on the iPhone 16 series is said to be capacitive, meaning it will not be a mechanical switch but will instead feature a force sensor feedback similar to the TouchID sensors on older iPhones and the Force Touch trackpad on MacBooks.
