HTC’s New Mid-Range Phone Releases: Get the Inside Scoop!
HTC to Focus on Mid-Range Phones in 2024
Back in the day, HTC was known for creating some of the best high-end phones in the market. However, after the release of the One (M8), the company seemed to have lost its touch in designing top-tier phones. Now, according to Gizmochina, HTC is planning to launch one to two new mid-range phones every year in 2024.
Huang Zhaoying, HTC’s Senior Vice President of global business and marketing, stated that the company will be focusing on mid-range models powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 series of mid-range application processors. HTC believes that these chipsets are more aligned with the needs of its customers rather than the high-end, high-performance Snapdragon 8 line of application processors. The company will prioritize what it says is the most important feature of a smartphone: communications.
HTC’s decision to shift its focus to mid-range phones comes after the success of its U23 series, which saw a 30% increase in sales compared to the HTC Desire 22 Pro in just six months. This move mirrors Motorola’s strategy when the company had to produce some of the best budget Android phones before returning to the flagship market.
While many are hoping for HTC to make a comeback in the high-end phone market, the company has not revealed any possible release dates or specs for its 2024 phones. However, with its new strategy in place, HTC aims to cater to the needs of its customers and make a mark in the mid-range phone segment.
