One of the standout features of the Toughbook 55 Mk3 is its rugged design. It has been rated for drops up to 3’, in addition to shock, vibration, altitude, freeze/thaw, and temperature shock. It is also rated IP53 for dust and water resistance and has a heater in the main SSD to operate in extra cold environments.
Despite its durable build, the laptop offers advanced connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 support, and a Thunderbolt 4 port with up to 40Gbps data transfer.
Another unique feature of the Toughbook 55 Mk3 is its xPAK modules, which offer three expansion slots for professionals to add various modules, including serial and LAN ports, fingerprint reader, barcode reader, smart card reader, optical drives, more SSDs, and a second battery to boost battery life to 20 hours.
