Exclusive: Apple Insider Reveals Secret Function of ‘Capture’ Button on iPhone 16 – Must-Read for Apple Fans!

Apple’s new iPhone 16 series is set to include a “Capture” button for shooting video. The button will be placed on the right side of the phone and will be a capacitive button with haptic feedback. Bloomberg’s Apple beat writer, Mark Gurman, revealed in his weekly newsletter that the 2024 iPhone models will only use the button for starting video recording.

Due to the placement of the button, Apple will have to move the antenna for high-band mmWave 5G signals to the left side of the phone. Non-U.S. versions of the iPhone 16 won’t have this antenna, as it will be displaced by the “Capture” button.

Additionally, the recent update to iOS 17.2 has given the rear cameras on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max the ability to record immersive spatial video using the Wide and Ultra-wide cameras together.

With the rear cameras of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus returning to the vertical setup last seen on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, both the pro and non-pro models will be able to record in spatial video. This exciting update will enhance the video recording capabilities of the upcoming iPhone 16 series, offering users new and innovative ways to capture and relive their memories. Stay tuned for more updates on the release of the iPhone 16 series and its new features.
