Introducing the vivo Y100i, a new smartphone with 5G technology and a massive 5,000 mAh battery. The device has been made available for pre-order in China and is set to go on sale on December 2nd.

Priced at CNY1,599 (approximately $225 or €205), the vivo Y100i is a more affordable alternative to the vivo Y100, with a downgrade in the screen department. The smartphone features a 6.64” LCD flat screen with Full HD+ resolution and a punch hole for the selfie camera. The fingerprint scanner has been integrated into the power key on the side.

Powered by the Dimensity 6020 chipset, built on 7nm technology, the vivo Y100i comes with 12GB of RAM and an impressive 512GB of storage, making it the second vivo Y phone with so much storage capacity. The main camera on the back boasts a 50 MP sensor with a 2 MP secondary shooter, while the selfie camera has an 8 MP sensor.

In addition, the Y100i is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging, OriginOS 3 based on Android 13, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a dual nano SIM slot.

The vivo Y100i comes in Pink, Blue, and Black color options. While there is no information on its international launch, given the popularity of the Y series, it is likely that the device will make its way to the global market.
