Realme Surpasses Google to Join Samsung and Apple in the Exclusive Top 5 Club
Realme Joins Elite Top 5 Club in Smartphone Sales
Realme, a Chinese smartphone maker, has reached an impressive milestone in the competitive world of smartphone sales. The company has officially joined the elite Top 5 club, along with Apple, Samsung, Huawei, and Vivo, by shipping over 200 million phones in a relatively short amount of time.
Established just over five years ago, Realme has quickly risen to success in a market that is dominated by big players like Apple and Samsung. The company, owned by BBK Electronics, the same company that owns Oppo and Vivo, has managed to become one of the top 10 smartphone brands in the world.
According to market analytics firm Counterpoint Research, only four companies have achieved this milestone in a shorter timeframe than Realme. This not only speaks to the brand’s popularity but also its ability to compete with some of the biggest names in the industry.
Realme’s chief marketing officer, Xu Qi, expressed the company’s pride in achieving this milestone and emphasized their readiness to take on the premium smartphone market. Realme is set to launch the Realme GT 5 Pro, which will feature Qualcomm’s latest high-end chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and Sony’s LYT-T808 camera sensor with OIS support.
Rumored specs for the Realme GT 5 Pro include a 6.78-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, 16GB of RAM, and a 5,400 mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
The company’s expansion into the premium smartphone market with the launch of the Realme GT 5 Pro reflects its ambition to continue growing and competing with the top players in the industry. Realme’s success story is a testament to the fierce competition in the smartphone market and the constant innovation driving the industry forward.
