Rumors swirling: Oppo’s Find X7 series set to ditch ‘Pro’ model – find out why!
The rumour mill is buzzing in the tech world, with reports suggesting that Oppo’s upcoming flagship series, the Oppo Find X7 series, may be dropping the Pro model. According to a well-known tipster, Digital Chat Station, there will be no Pro model in the series. Instead, the Ultra will be split into two nearly identical phones, with the only difference being satellite connectivity capabilities added to one of the twins.
The leaked information also reveals that all the models in the lineup will come with a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging speed, with the Ultra models also enjoying 50W wireless charging speed.
Under the hood, the vanilla Find X7 flagship is expected to feature the Dimensity 9300 chip from MediaTek, a 120Hz refresh rate display, 16 GB of LPDDR5T RAM, 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and Android 14. The Dimensity 9300 chip is built on TSMC’s third generation 4nm process and features faster display speeds, 5G connectivity, and improved power efficiency.
Reports have also surfaced suggesting that the Dimensity 9300 chipset may experience performance throttling during stress tests, so consumers will be hoping that Oppo has implemented effective cooling measures in the Find X7 series.
As for the other two phones in the series, the Find X7 Pro and the Find X7 Ultra, or potentially the Oppo Find X7 Ultra and the Oppo Find X7 Ultra Satellite Communications, they are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which offers improvements in system efficiency, CPU and GPU speed, AI performance, and imaging capabilities.
Finally, leaked live photos of the upcoming Find X7 Pro have surfaced, giving consumers a glimpse of the design which has been described as divisive, with opinions falling on either end of the spectrum.
With the latest leaks and rumors, the Oppo Find X7 series is generating buzz and anticipation as tech enthusiasts eagerly await its official launch and a full unveiling of its specifications and features.
