Introducing DJI’s New Ronin 4D-8K Camera

DJI has announced the launch of its new Ronin 4D-8K camera, which is now available for shipping. This innovative camera features a unique 4-axis stabilized full-frame 8K-ready design, perfect for capturing high-quality footage.

The Ronin 4D-8K boasts a modular setup with a sensor and mount bolted onto a 4-axis gimbal, which is then attached to a cinema camera housing. The camera comes equipped with an external monitor, wireless transmitter, and storage unit for added convenience.

One of the standout features of the Ronin 4D-8K is its 8K sensor, which is a 35mm full-frame imager with 14.7 stops of dynamic range. The camera offers two dual-native-ISO models – the base 320/1,600 ISO and the range expansion 800/4,000 ISO. Additionally, the sensor is compatible with various lens mounts, including DJI’s DL Mount, Panasonic’s L Mount, Leica’s M mount, Sony’s E mount, and PL mount. The camera also includes 9 built-in ND filters for added versatility.

In terms of recording capabilities, the 8K sensor can record in 4K up to 120fps at 17:9, and up to 8K at 75fps in its internal RAW format. The camera system supports D-Log, as well as Apple ProRes RAW, ProRes 422 Hq, H.264, and Cinema DNG.

The Ronin 4D-8K combo comes with the Ronin 4D body, a Zenmuse X9-8K gimbal camera, a DJI DL PZ 17-28 mm T3.0 ASPH lens, a 1TB SSD, and a USB-C cable, all for the price of €12,758.
