Google’s Pixel Fold Unveils Cutting-Edge Dual Screen Feature for Ultimate Photography Experience – Don’t Miss Out!
Google has updated its Pixel Camera app to version 9.2, bringing a fresh design and new features to all Pixel users. But that’s not all – there are hints of a new Dual Screen feature specifically tailored for the Pixel Fold, a foldable smartphone introduced by Google this year.
According to a report by Android Authority, the Pixel Camera 9.2 update includes strings that suggest an upcoming Dual Screen feature, internally known as “Saturn.” This feature is expected to allow the Pixel Fold to use its outer/rear display for preview while capturing the shot using the inner display. Similar functionalities have been seen on other foldable devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the OnePlus Open.
However, there are some limitations to the Dual Screen feature outlined in the strings. It won’t work in Battery Saver mode or when the device is running too hot, aligning with Google’s approach of disabling certain camera features on Pixels when they heat up.
Currently, the Dual Screen feature is not operational on the Pixel Fold, even with APK sideloading. However, the strings indicate that work is ongoing on this feature, giving hope for its future activation.
Google’s entry into the foldable smartphone market with the Pixel Fold puts it in direct competition with other foldable devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the OnePlus Open, and the Oppo Find N3.
As of now, the Dual Screen feature for the Pixel Fold has not been officially announced, so users are advised to stay tuned for potential updates on this evolving feature.
