Galaxy S25 Ultra’s Revolutionary ISOCELL 1-inch Image Sensor and Sony Sensors Set to Elevate S25 & S25+ – Learn more!

Samsung plans to introduce a new ISOCELL image sensor for its Galaxy S25 Ultra phone in 2025, with a 1-inch size and 0.8µm pixels. This sensor will offer dual-pixel autofocus and in-sensor crop zoom. In addition, the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ will no longer use the GN3 sensor, which has been criticized in the past.

The upcoming Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are expected to continue using the GN3 sensor until Sony’s image sensors replace it in the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+. Both the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models will also feature a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

The Galaxy S24 series is set to be unveiled on January 17th, 2024, which is earlier than the previous Galaxy S23 release. Pre-orders are rumored to begin on the same day, with a launch date of January 30th, 2024. This earlier release allows Samsung to compete with the latest iPhone models sooner than before.

While it’s too early to discuss specific dates for the release of the Galaxy S25 series, new components like the ISOCELL image sensor indicate that Samsung is already working on its 2025 flagship phone.
