Google Nest Hub Fuschia 14 Public Preview Update Solves Odd Event Bug – See What’s Changed!
Google has announced the rollout of Fuschia OS version 14 to users in the Public Preview program. The update includes several user-oriented fixes, such as Matter improvements and Bluetooth enhancements, as well as a fix for a pesky nightly event presence bug.
The update is mainly focused on refining the functionality of Nest Hub devices, with a particular emphasis on developers. Users enrolled in the Public Preview program for the Nest Hub are starting to receive the new update, which is titled “Fuschcia version 14.”
According to Google’s Nest community support page, the Nest Hub, Nest Hub (2nd-gen), and the Nest Hub Max have received version 14.20230831.4.72 in the public preview. This update brings several bug fixes and improvements for the devices.
One of the key fixes in the latest version addresses a problem with the routine triggered by presence in the Hub series, which had been reported since August. Google states that it has resolved “spurious overnight presence events” with this update.
In addition to this, the update also includes several enhancements for Matter support, such as new transition time handling for commands related to color and Matter update group support.
Furthermore, there are several Bluetooth-related improvements, including fixes for media playback time inaccuracy and improved latency when streaming A2DP to a speaker.
With the update just arriving, it may take a few days to a few weeks before users begin seeing its arrival on their Nest Hub device. Users not enrolled in the Public Preview program can do so via the Google Home app on their Android device.
Google’s Nest Hub Max, which features an immersive display and amazing audio quality, has finally received the new Fuschia OS as part of the public preview program. The company has stated that the “major” updates don’t alter the functionality of its Nest Hubs, but rather aim to add better stability or support for the new industry Matter connectivity standard.
Overall, this update brings a range of improvements and fixes for Nest Hub devices, enhancing the user experience and ensuring better functionality for both developers and users alike.
