Meizu Launches New Flagship Smartphone with Impressive Features
Today, Meizu successfully launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Meizu 21, at a special event in China. The new phone is the successor to last year’s Meizu 20 and comes with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a 200 MP main camera, and 80W fast charging.
The Meizu 21 features a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is available in black, purple, green, and white colors, with the white option also sporting color-matched white screen bezels, a unique feature.
Equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the Meizu 21 comes with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The phone’s camera setup includes a 200MP main camera with Samsung’s ISOCELL HP3, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP portrait cam. It also features an RGB ring flash that can display colored patterns for notifications.
The Meizu 21 runs on FlymeOS 10.5 based on Android 13 and supports Flyme Auto, Meizu’s in-car infotainment system. Additionally, the phone is IP54 rated and comes with a 4,800 mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
The company also announced its plans to launch the Meizu DreamCar MX vehicle in the first quarter of 2024. As for pricing, the Meizu 21 starts at CNY 3,399 (approximately $480) for the 8/256GB variant and goes up to CNY 3,999 (approximately $565) for the 12/512GB version. Meizu will also offer an extended 36-month warranty for all Meizu 21 phones, with open sales beginning on December 5.
