Vivo’s New S18 Series to be Unveiled on December 14

Vivo’s S18 series is set to be officially introduced on December 14th, as announced by a vivo VP last week. The lineup will feature three phones – the budget-friendly S18e, the standard S18 with two cameras, and the high-end S18 Pro with top-of-the-line specs.

The Pro variant of the S18 series is expected to come with a Dimensity 9200+ chipset and a 50 MP camera featuring a Sony IMX920 sensor, similar to the flagship X100 smartphone. The S18 Pro will also have a 120Hz screen, a 5,000 mAh battery in a slim body, and an in-house generative AI called BlueLM.

Additionally, the vanilla S18 is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while the S18 Pro is set to borrow the 50 MP ultra-wide camera and the 12 MP telephoto camera from the X100 and X90s lineups respectively.

Jia Jingdong, VP and GM of Brand and Product Strategy at vivo, also posted camera samples taken with a vivo S18 smartphone, providing a sneak peek at the device’s photography capabilities.
