Apple has released the new iPhone 15 Plus, which has a longer battery life than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to a report by PhoneArena. The iPhone 15 Plus has a 4383mAh battery and it lasts 19 hours and 20 minutes while browsing, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max, with a 4422mAh battery, lasts 16 hours and 21 minutes. However, the iPhone 15 Plus led the video playback battery test, running for 11 hours and 14 minutes compared to the 9 hours and 45 minutes of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 15 Plus is cheaper than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, with a starting price of $899 for 128GB of storage compared to the latter’s starting price of $1,199 for a 256GB model. Even though the iPhone 15 Plus may not have all the features of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, such as the Tetrapixel periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, it does have a 6.7-inch OLED display, the Dynamic Island, and a 48MP Wide camera on the back.
Apple has released a new ad for the iPhone 15 Plus, featuring an electrical outlet singing “Miss You” by Doe Boy because the iPhone 15 Plus does not need to be plugged in as often. The ad highlights the iPhone 15 Plus’s long battery life, claiming it can deliver up to 26 hours of offline video playback and up to 100 hours of audio playback. The 30-second spot shows the sad outlet longing for the iPhone 15 Plus and ends with the tag line, “Loooooong battery life. iPhone 15 Plus.”
Last year, Apple also focused on the long battery life of the iPhone 14 Plus in an ad featuring a farmer driving a tractor with Apple Maps running on his phone. The app told the farmer to continue straight for 102 miles.
The ad for the iPhone 15 Plus is expected to be shown on television during sporting events and holiday specials in the coming week. With its long battery life and new features, the iPhone 15 Plus is sure to catch the attention of consumers looking for a reliable and technologically advanced smartphone.
