Asus Zenfone 10 Receives Android 14 Update
Asus has started releasing the stable update to Android 14 for the Zenfone 10. This update is now being sent out to global models, including those sold in the EU. To get the update, the Zenfone 10 needs to be on software version 33.0220.0220.101.
Once the 1.3GB update is downloaded and installed, the Zenfone 10 will be on software version 34.1004.0204.65. The update is being rolled out in batches based on the phones’ serial numbers, so it may take a few days for all Zenfone 10 units to receive it.
If the update notification hasn’t appeared yet, users can manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > System updates. Asus recommends backing up data before proceeding, as some 3rd party apps may not be compatible with Android 14.
The changelog for the update includes optimizations for Bluetooth connectivity, fixes for speakerphone call echo issues, a new method of displaying battery usage, support for the new “Photos and Videos” permission and the new system photo picker, as well as revamped apps like Mobile Manager, Contacts, and Gallery. Users will also get color and brightness customization of the lock screen clock widget and new options in the Asus power menu.
In addition to these enhancements, all the features packed into Android 14 by Google are also included in the update.
The update for the Zenfone 10 can be found via the official Asus website. See more information about the update on YTechB website.
